Terms of Service

MotIQ is a vehicle fuel, maintenance and expense manager made by Kurvo, a company based in the Philippines ("Kurvo", "we", "us"). It lets you keep a garage of vehicles, log fuel fill-ups, expenses and maintenance, attach receipt photos, and get reminders, analytics and an AI assistant based on your own records.

By creating an account, using the demo account, or otherwise using MotIQ, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, please don't use MotIQ.

MotIQ is currently a preview. That means it's still being built: features may be added, changed or removed, some things may not work as expected, and the preview may be paused or ended. We'll do our best to give notice of major changes, but we can't promise that the preview will always be available.

You may use MotIQ if you are at least 18 years old, or if you are younger and a parent or legal guardian has reviewed these Terms and agrees to them on your behalf and supervises your use.

If you use MotIQ on behalf of a business or other organisation (for example, to track company vehicles), you confirm that you are allowed to accept these Terms for that organisation.

Your MotIQ account is a Kurvo account, kept on Kurvo's servers. You'll need to confirm your email address, and you can reset a forgotten password by email. Please keep your sign-in details to yourself and use a password you don't use anywhere else; you're responsible for activity under your account.

What you enter in MotIQ (vehicles, logs, expenses, maintenance, receipt photos), your activity log and your restore points are stored in your web browser and, if you turn on sync, also in your account, so they're available on every device you sign in on. A few consequences:

• Without sync, clearing your browser data deletes your garage data. So does using a private/incognito window that you then close, uninstalling the browser, or resetting the device. Your account itself stays, and you can sign in again.
• With sync on, changes on one device appear on the others the next time they open MotIQ. If the same entry is edited on two devices before they sync, the most recent change wins.
• Deleting is deleting everywhere. With sync on, removing an entry, Start fresh and Delete account also remove it from your account, and we can't bring it back.

You're responsible for keeping your device and browser secure, for example with a screen lock, and for anything done in MotIQ on your device. Anyone who can use your browser may be able to open your MotIQ data.

We strongly recommend downloading a backup regularly from Settings → Your data → Download backup. You can restore it later from the same screen.

Please give accurate information when you create your account. You may only create an account for yourself, or for an organisation you're allowed to represent.

MotIQ offers a demo account filled with sample vehicles, fill-ups, expenses and services so you can look around. The sample data is made up. Any resemblance to real vehicles, plate numbers or people is coincidental, and the figures it shows aren't benchmarks or recommendations.

Anything you add to the demo account is stored in your browser like any other account. You can remove the sample data at any time with Settings → Your data → Start fresh.

Please use MotIQ for its intended purpose: managing your own vehicles and their costs, or those you're responsible for. You agree not to:

• use MotIQ for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful, including to fabricate receipts or records for reimbursement, insurance or tax purposes;
• enter other people's personal information unless you're allowed to;
• try to interfere with, overload, reverse engineer or bypass any security or limits of MotIQ, except where the law expressly allows it;
• copy, resell or redistribute MotIQ, or present it as your own product;
• use MotIQ to build a competing product, or scrape it with automated tools;
• upload malicious code or content that infringes someone else's rights.

MotIQ shows the following plans. Prices are in Philippine pesos (PHP):

During the preview, no plan is billed. We don't ask for or collect payment details, and choosing a plan won't result in any charge.

Before we start charging for any plan, we'll tell you clearly in the app and, where we have a way to reach you, by email. We'll explain the price, what's included, how billing and cancellation work, and any applicable taxes, and you'll need to actively choose a paid plan. You won't be moved onto a paid plan automatically.

Plan features and prices may change before paid plans launch. Any billing terms at launch will be shared with you before they apply.

MotIQ calculates things like fuel efficiency, cost per kilometre, spending trends, budget forecasts and savings tips. Its AI assistant answers questions using figures computed from the records you've entered.

These features are there to help you understand your own data. They are for information only and are not financial, mechanical, legal, tax or insurance advice. In particular:

• Results are only as good as the data you enter. Missing, duplicated or mistyped entries will produce misleading numbers.
• Forecasts and estimates are projections, not promises. Real fuel prices, costs and driving conditions vary.
• The assistant can be wrong or incomplete, and may misunderstand your question.

Please double-check anything important and talk to a qualified professional before making decisions about money, your vehicle's safety, or legal matters.

MotIQ can remind you about upcoming services, registration and insurance based on the dates, distances and intervals you enter or that the app suggests. These reminders are estimates based on your records and general intervals. They don't know your vehicle's actual condition.

Always follow your vehicle manufacturer's maintenance schedule and the advice of a qualified mechanic. If your vehicle shows warning lights, unusual noises, leaks or handling problems, have it inspected regardless of what MotIQ says. Reminders depend on your browser and device, so they may not appear if you don't open the app or if your data has been cleared. Don't rely on MotIQ as your only reminder for legal deadlines such as LTO registration renewal or insurance expiry.

When you scan a receipt, MotIQ uses optical character recognition (OCR) on your device to suggest values such as the amount, date or vendor. OCR can misread blurry, faded, crumpled or unusual receipts, and can confuse similar characters like 1 and 7, or 0 and 8.

You're responsible for reviewing and correcting anything OCR fills in before saving it. Keep your original receipts if you need them for reimbursement, tax or warranty purposes. A photo in MotIQ isn't a substitute, especially since it's lost if your browser data is cleared.

The records, notes and photos you add to MotIQ ("your content") belong to you. During the preview your content stays on your device and we don't receive it, so we don't need, and don't ask for, any licence to it.

If a future version stores your content on our servers, we'll only ask for the permissions needed to store, process and show it back to you, and we'll explain this before any of your data moves. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal information.

MotIQ, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos and the names "MotIQ" and "Kurvo", is owned by Kurvo or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws, including the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines.

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable permission to use MotIQ in line with these Terms. You may not use our names or logos in a way that suggests we endorse you, without our written permission.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve MotIQ without owing you anything. Thank you, though; it genuinely helps.

MotIQ loads some components from third-party content delivery networks, such as fonts from Google Fonts, icons from unpkg, and the receipt-reading language model from jsDelivr. These services are run by others and have their own terms. If one of them is unavailable, parts of MotIQ may not look or work right. Our Privacy Policy explains what these services can see.

We work hard to make MotIQ useful and reliable, but because it's a free preview we provide it "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we don't promise that MotIQ will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that calculations, forecasts, reminders or OCR results will be accurate or complete, or that your data will never be lost.

Nothing in these Terms takes away rights you have as a consumer that can't be waived under Philippine law, including under the Consumer Act of the Philippines (Republic Act No. 7394).

To the extent permitted by law:

• Kurvo isn't responsible for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, missed reimbursements, or costs of vehicle repairs or penalties that result from relying on MotIQ's estimates, reminders, OCR results or AI answers.
• Kurvo isn't responsible for data lost because browser storage was cleared, the device was lost or damaged, or a backup wasn't kept, since during the preview your data is held only on your device.
• Kurvo's total liability for any claim relating to MotIQ is limited to the amount you paid us for MotIQ in the 12 months before the claim. During the preview, that amount is zero, as MotIQ is provided free of charge.

These limits don't apply to liability that can't be limited under Philippine law, such as liability for fraud, bad faith or gross negligence, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

You can stop using MotIQ at any time. Settings → Delete account removes your MotIQ account from our servers and all its data from your device; your Kurvo sign-in stays for other Kurvo apps unless you ask us to erase it too. Clearing your browser's site data for MotIQ removes the data on that device.

We may change, suspend or end the preview, or restrict access for anyone who seriously or repeatedly breaks these Terms. Where reasonable, we'll give notice first. Ending the preview won't by itself delete the garage data on your device, but parts of the app may stop working, so keep a backup.

Sections that by their nature should continue after termination, such as intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law, will continue to apply.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.

If you have a problem with MotIQ, please contact us first at kurvo2026@gmail.com. Most issues can be sorted out quickly that way. If we can't resolve it informally, the dispute will be handled by the proper courts of the Philippines, without affecting any right you have to bring a complaint to a government agency such as the Department of Trade and Industry or the National Privacy Commission.

We'll update these Terms as MotIQ grows, for example when paid plans or server storage launch. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top. For significant changes, we'll give you notice in the app, and by email when we have a way to reach you, before the changes take effect.

If you keep using MotIQ after changes take effect, the updated Terms apply. If you don't agree with them, you can stop using MotIQ and delete your data at any time.
